Just because a bathroom is in a historical home doesn’t mean that it needs to feel outdated. These homeowners were ready for a new space. The bathroom was dark, dated, and had been a modification to the original home—located where a stairway landing used to be.
After we re-framed the floor so that it was safe, we were ready to begin. We created the illusion of a much larger space using modern subway tiles in white, floating cabinetry and shelves, and a curbless shower with stationary panels of glass. We removed the wall that blocked the natural light, and swapped the door to the attic with a really cool hidden door/bookshelf. What a transformation!
