Are you self-employed, working as a subcontractor or tired of working nights and weekends, sacrificing your family time to make ends meet? We have developed systems and a pay structure for lead carpenters that will reward you for working smarter, not harder. In addition, we offer paid vacations and holidays, and health and retirement benefits so you can maintain your work/life balance.

As a DreamMaker Lead Carpenter, you are a craftsman with experience in all aspects of interior remodeling. You would be responsible for customer care, on-site construction, and management of a remodeling project from start to finish. You must be able to maintain a clean, safe, secure worksite while producing projects on schedule and with outstanding customer service.

Are you getting started in your construction career, looking for a place to grow your skills and experience in a positive supportive environment? We have systems in place that actually reward our experienced lead carpenters for training you on the job. Many of our best lead carpenters started with us as production assistants. We also offer paid vacations and holidays, and health and retirement benefits so you can maintain your work/life balance.

As a DreamMaker Production Assistant, you should have basic construction skills and be able to perform basic carpentry, tile, electrical and plumbing tasks. A great attitude, a desire to learn, and a passion for great customer service are absolute requirements.

Are you a talented interior and/or kitchen & bath designer that is tired of being undervalued for your skills? Are you passionate about delivering a first-rate customer experience but are frustrated by an inefficient or disorganized construction process? If so, DreamMaker may be just what you need to help you make customers’ remodeling dreams come to life.

As a DreamMaker designer, you will handle all aspects of the design process, from initial client relationship building, to detailed design and estimating. Along the way, you will receive constant support from our technical and quality control staff. You will walk your clients though product and material selections, help ensure that our on-staff carpenters get all the information they need, and be there for your clients until the project is complete. A passion for great customer service and a positive can-do attitude are absolute requirements.

What is the work environment like?

We don’t just say that “we make our employees feel valued” in a job description. We show it in our competitive compensation and benefit package:

We offer Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance plans, Simple IRA with match, paid vacation time, and 10 paid holidays. But we go above and beyond that, with company-supplied trucks and tools, free training, new DreamMaker gear twice a year, and a monthly employee-to-employee recognition program to celebrate successes all year long.

We also offer employee activities throughout the year, such as barbecues, holiday parties, ice cream Fridays, fishing trips, and other get-togethers (as COVID allows).

That’s the stuff you probably expect. But what’s the day-to-day like?

Our team members have created a company culture that promotes teamwork, friendship, and a commitment to excellence. More than 1,400 projects later, we have developed specific processes that have been proven to work on every job. For example, we use Microsoft Teams to connect with our designers and other staff via video chat, text, or phone, or to find documents and other information.

Clients recognize our commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional customer service with every job we complete. Which is why we consistently receive “100% would recommend” ratings on Guild Quality, a 4.8-star rating on Google, and many other glowing comments from former customers. In fact, we get most of our new projects from repeat clients and referrals.
