These Ann Arbor homeowners wanted a truly custom kitchen that blended with their home’s contemporary and eclectic décor. This needed to be an entertainment space with a bold look and lots of angles and movement.
The main showpiece in this new space is the large-veined island countertop and the matching full-height backsplash. The island is made up of two full slabs of Cambria, and is a truly unique diamond shape with lots of storage for best functionality. A solid black countertop on either side of the cooktop then contrasts with the white cabinets, calls out the matte black accents on the custom range hood, and matches the black cabinets in the adjacent wet bar area. Oversize handles on the pantry cabinets duplicate the pattern on the custom-mullioned cabinet doors. All new appliances and Eames-style bar stools round out this amazing room.
