Accessibility was key in this bathroom transformation. But the beautiful design is what you notice when you walk in. Practical and safe can also be stunningly beautiful!
This master bath needed to do double-duty, affording a space where someone with limited mobility could enjoy a relaxing shower, with additional room if assistance was required. A new bench was created in the shower, and a lightweight hand sprayer was installed next to the grab bar and shampoo niche, for maximum convenience. A linear drain in the back wall of the shower eliminated the need for a raised curb, to make entry safer, or for wheelchair access. The decorative glass tile in the shower, with its leaf pattern, pulls in a nature theme. Combining the tub and shower area also allowed space for a much-needed storage closet. The relaxing ocean blue on the walls makes the entire space feel serene and quiet.
We had a lot of must-haves for our bathroom. Marde was so helpful with our design and helped us choose materials that look great. She was always prompt to return our calls and address any concerns we had along the way. Dave was a fantastic project manager and craftsman. He was very respectful, on time, and his workmanship is outstanding.See more testimonials
